Today I headed to Pleasantview to play the Broke family. I haven't played them a whole lot since I had to reinstall everything, and I know I neglect them terribly. Brandi now works in the law enforcement career as a Cadet. Dustin has his after school job in the criminal career as a Numbers Runner. Therefore, the family can occasionally afford something nice, finally! Beau is currently a child, and Brandi's third child was a son, whom she named Bob. Bob is currently a toddler.
On Monday morning Brandi spent some quality peek-a-boo time with Bob while Beau practiced his painting skills and Dustin smustle danced until it was time for school. It was Brandi's day off. She spent the morning productively by completing Bob's potty training. Dustin had the day off work also. Brandi put Bob down for a nap and practiced her speech in front of the mirror to gain a charisma point before falling in to bed exhausted. Beau's relatives heard about his good grades in school and sent him $100 as a reward. He went to bed exhausted after school, poor thing. Being a good student is hard work. Dustin was far too depressed to do his homework and the social bunny was hovering around him constantly. He took a cab downtown to buy himself one of life's little luxuries - a gameboy. He then headed back home with his purchase. Bob grew up well in to a child thanks to Brandi's wonderful mothering skills. Dustin invited his steady girlfriend, Angela Pleasant over for some romantic slow dancing out front, though his mind wasn't completely on the romance.
When Brandi got up (and oh, goody, her sleeping pattern is all destroyed!) she went back to the mirror to gain two more charisma points. When Beau woke up it was time for his birthday as well, and he grew up well in to a teenage knowledge sim.
Beau spent the early hours of Tuesday morning cleaning the bathroom and gained a cleaning point for his trouble. Brandi was still in front of the mirror gaining yet another charisma point. Beau tackled his homework to continue his run of good grades. When Bob got up he spent some time smustling in the bedroom. Dustin managed to break the bathroom sink (he is made of fail!) and called a repairman to come fix it during working hours. Then it was off to work and school for all the Brokes. Dustin was offered a choice of instruments in music class and chose to learn the cello, but he was terrible at it and ended up breaking the school's cello - he had to pay for it too! He headed straight to work after school and Brandi headed straight to bed after work. Beau and Bob sat down to do their homework together - that's right, Bob, Beau is the older brother to be looking up to, not Dustin. Dustin was once more too depressed to tackle his growing pile of homework assignments. A townie acquaintance that came home from school with Dustin clogged the family's only toilet. Dustin once more called the repairman to come out the next morning. Later that night, Brandi re-broke the bathroom sink - I guess that repairman didn't do a very good job. She pulled another all-nighter and spent it in front of the mirror gaining another charisma point.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning Brandi gained yet another charisma point! When he got up, Bob called Mama Caliente to chat until it was time for school and work for all. It was Dustin's evening off work, and he managed to do Wednesday's homework but not the previous two days' homework, regardless of the fact that his job is in jeopardy if his bad grades continue. Brandi went straight to bed after work again. Beau called Sim State University to see if he was eligible for any scholarships - a teen for less than two days and already thinking about college - and he won the SimCity Scholar's Grant. Brandi was terribly proud. She pulled another all-nighter. There's no end in sight to her terrible sleeping pattern yet. I don't even remember what happened to put her in to it.
