Today I played the Roque family in Strangetown.  And I have not slept in almost 40 hours, so please forgive the half-assedness of this picspam, specifically the lack of decent captions or any wittiness at all... I'm going straight to bed after this.
When we last saw them: Jasmine threw several crappy parties, Gunnar gained membership to Sue's Secret Kitchen and Gunine grew in to a slightly unfortunate looking little lady....


Don't let the sweet hugging fool you.  Gunine alternately munches on and beats the snot out of her bear.  This hug was a once in a lifetime Hallmark moment between them.  They have a tempestuous relationship at best...


Gunine is growing on me.  Partly because I feel bad that she's been a toddler in my game for almost a real life year now.  I am a terribly neglectful deity....


Gunine is proving quite popular with the local townie women, however.  They love her!  Perhaps because, despite her daddy's features being fatal for a little girl, she has so many outgoing points and is so nice that it's impossible not to like her...

And I now hate her name (I was iffy about it when I gave it to her...) I don't know what possessed me to try to composite her parents' names when I was naming her.  Oh well....




Jasmine: "You know, we never seem to have time to sit and watch movies together anymore.  We really should make a date night soon, put Gunine to bed early....."


Gunnar is an amazing father.  Seriously.  Why is it that romance sims always seem to make the most attentive parents?


Yup, I don't think she has much of Jasmine in her apart from the big eyes....


Prof. Vamsi: "I highly doubt you can beat me at chess.  You were expelled from college for a reason, you know..."
Jasmine: "And you're a history professor.  I don't recall you teaching chess in your lectures...."
Oooh, it's on!


Zoe: He can't take his eyes off her, even for a second.  Maybe it was just meant to be and I should stop punishing them both for getting married.  It's not like I told Jasmine I was dating him any more than she told me she was.... I guess it was just a bad situation.....


With the opening of her heart to forgiveness, Zoe's heart opened to something else... she and Prof. Vamsi enjoyed a steamy snogging session and fell in love!  (Zoe's bi in my game, btw...)  Of course, they wanted to pretend it didn't happen as soon as I noticed and went in for the picture taking.... but it totally did!
Neil: They were making out!  Did nobody else see that?  Oh my god!  Jizzed.  In.  My.  Pants.


See?  Gunine is irrisistible to AL townie women!


Despite a healthy sex life, Jasmine and Gunnar are failing to conceive again.  I think he's sorry that he was seeing both Jasmine and Zoe way back when, though.  He only ever wants Jasmine nowadays....




Gunine is a total daddy's girl.  Of course, it probably doesn't help much that Jasmine works while Gunnar is unemployed, but even so....


This picture made me so nostalgic.  My memory kicks in pretty early, and I remember my toddler years quite well (though the downside of that is that I remember potty training intimately - I'd rather not!)  Anyway, I digress.  I was a daddy's girl myself, and this picture somehow captured for me that feeling at that age where daddy is ten feet tall and less a man than a god and so long as you can see him nothing bad can ever happen and nothing can hurt you.  It is indeed a necessary part of life to realize our parents are not infallible, but don't you always wish in some small part that you could go back to when you thought they were?


Gunnar has no intention of being unemployed forever.  He has big dreams of athletic greatness, and though he's yet to find a start in his chosen field, he works out every day.


Aurora: My daughter is prettier.
Yes, but it's not polite to say so....

Gunine: *grows up completely maxis and desperately needing to pee*
Seriously, I have so much in the way of CC clothing for little girls, all of it townified.  And you choose that.
Gunine: "Omg, who cares?  I'm gonna have an accident!  Can I go now?"
Yes, you can go....

Gunnar discovered his One True Hobby.  It's fitness.
Gunnar gained 5 body points.
Gunnar became fit.
Jasmine taught Gunine to talk.
Gunnar was offered a subscription to the Fitness magazine.  He accepted.
Gunnar became best friends with Gunine.
Jasmine gained a logic point.
Jasmine threw 2 parties.  One was succesful, the other was not.
Jasmine was promoted.  She is now a Hostess.
Jasmine gained a cooking point.
Gunnar taught Gunine to walk.
Jasmine became best friends with Gunine.
Gunnar gained membership to Platinum Gym.
Gunine gained a charisma point.
Jasmine taught Gunine a nursery rhyme.
