Gameplay: May 11th 2010

Yes, I know I should be playing The Fennell Legacy, but I hadn't played a Maxis family in so long!  So I headed to Veronaville's Academie Le Tour to play what was once known as The Sharpe Household, though none of the original inhabitants remain...
Last time: Wendy was the unknowing catalyst in the breakdown of her boyfriend Jonah Powers' marriage, she made friends with one of her professors and both she and Tom enjoyed successes and fails with their new makeover station.

Thursday began with both Tom and Emily heading off to their first exam.  Their studying paid off and both made the coveted Dean's List.


Meanwhile, Wendy enjoyed having the house to herself and indulged in a long Sims 3 play session.  It was to be less long than she'd wish, however.  As soon as Emily got home, she kicked Wendy off the computer so she could write her next semester's term paper.


Tom decided the time had come to give Wendy a new look, makeup-wise.  She may not be the most beautiful sim in the neighbourhood, but Tom is doing his very best to improve her!  Afterwards, Tom settled down to write an assignment.


Wendy served up a delicious grilled cheese lunch for everybody, which Tom, for which Tom was grateful.
Wendy: "So, now that I have a new look, what say you and me.... you know...."
Tom: "Umm... wow, this is awkward... I... I'm gay, sweetie..."
Wendy: "Sure I can't change your mind?"
Tom: "So sure..."
Ever since Wendy and Tom have become best friends, Wendy would like nothing better than for them to fall in love.  She's barking up the wrong tree in the worst way!  Gah!  Anywho, after lunch Tom managed to churn out a term paper of his own before all went to class.  That evening, the ghost of Prof. Zion was active once more.  He gave Wendy another good scare, causing her to most embarassingly lose control of her bladder function.  She laid low after that, avoiding her housemates and trying to catch fireflies - unsuccessfully.  Emily was on dinner duty and served up her first succesful grilled cheese sandwiches.  Wendy gained membership to Peerless Park, though she wasn't all that cheered by the prospect.
Tom was woken just after midnight on Friday by the ghost of Prof. Zion, who scared him quite badly.  He partook of some liquid courage, drinking "fruit punch" directly from the tap, and then chasing that with a few more drinks from a cup.  Prof. Zion found him, however, and scared him again!  While making himself a sweet treat in the form of a Santa cookie, Tom gained a cooking point.  Wendy claimed the computer for another Sims 3 session upon waking.


Ever the conscientious student, Emily headed straight to the mirror to practice an oral report she had to give for class, gaining a much needed charisma point.  Tom was in bed exhausted by 7:30am.  Emily later gained a cooking point whilst making herself a simple breakfast in the form of a lunch meat sandwich.  Wendy partook of some fruit punch and then headed back inside to make herself a chocolate pudding for breakfast.  She gained a cooking point for her efforts.  Afterwards, she resumed her work at the makeover station, beautifying a visiting townie, followed by some very successful makeovers for both Tom and Emily.


Tom most definitely looks better now, yes?  Tom settled down on the sofa to gain a mechanical point, which he needed.  Emily worked her way through an assignment and then it was time for all to go to class.  After class, Emily had a craving for the chocolate pudding she'd seen Wendy eating earlier, so made one for her own dinner and had one of those eureka moments, gaining another cooking point.


Emily wasn't about to let that pudding to to her thighs!  After her dinner she spent well over an hour at the ballet barre, gaining a much needed body point.  Due to the previous nights' ghost activity and his subsequent daytime nap, Tom wasn't at all tired that night and decided to stay up.  He gave a townie makeover of his own while the night was still relatively young.
Tom spent the early hours of Saturday morning working out at the ballet barre and gained a body point, which he needed.  He was, of course, exhausted by 7am and once more spent a morning in bed.  Wendy burned the english muffins she was trying to make for breakfast, but due to the household's strict budget, she choked them down.


Emily was less fail when it came to her breakfast.  That french toast sure hit the spot!  Tom was up by midday to enjoy said french toast also.


Emily: Gosh, some of this biology stuff is so confusing.  I hope I'm not messing this up!
Surely not.  You're too win to miss these things up.
Another assignment under Emily's belt, followed by a jam session on the bass, gaining a creativity point, which she apparently needed for class.  Tom worked on yet another assignment (both he and Emily are such good students!)  Emily headed to class and Tom took some time to chat online, meeting Gilbert Jacquet in a chatroom.  He and Wendy then also went to class.


Emily continued her cooking win by barbecueing some perfect hot dogs for dinner.  Prof. Zion's ghost decided to once more make an appearance that night.  Tom spent part of his evening cleaning the ever more disgusting bathroom and earned a cleaning point for his trouble.  Wendy received a phone call from her friend Sadie McArthur, a townie.  The long phone conversation was enough to make the two best friends.  Emily was the unfortunate victim of a scare by Prof. Zion, wetting her pants in the kitchen right in front of Wendy!  Wendy headed outside to enjoy some stargazing until it was time for her final exam.  She earned herself a spot on the Dean's List this semester.  Tom was woken by Prof. Zion and scared senseless at 11pm, after which he wasn't tired enough to resume his repose.  To pass the time, he headed upstairs to play drums, gaining a much needed creativity point, and then spent the remainder of the wee hours drinking at the bar.
