Today I headed to Pleasantview to play the Dreamer family for a few simdays. Darren married Florence Delarosa and they have a daughter together, Dacia (currently a toddler). Dirk is still a teen. The family also has a cat named Bowie who works as a Seeing Eye Pet. Darren works in the medical career as a Nurse and Florence works in the Science career as a Field Researcher. Florence is having an affair with Jason Larson.
On Wednesday Darren and Dirk went off to work and school, but it was Florence's day off. She and Dacia spent some quality time together and became best friends. When Darren got home, he cleaned the bathroom and gained a much needed cleaning point and then settled down on the couch to gain another (which he also needed.) Florence called Jason Larson to ask him out on a date and they met at Maple Springs Pool and Spa for their tryst. After some slow dancing, they fell in love and followed their dancing with a heavy makeout session. Florence headed to the changing rooms with some unwanted gym clothes in the pretence of trying them on and Jason snuck in for a woohoo. After some more making out the date ended with the score of dream date and Florence went home pleased as punch. Dirk got his homework out of the way and Florence went to bed exhausted at 4:30pm. Dirk decided he wanted to give private school one final shot and called the headmaster to invite him for dinner that night. Darren spent some time watching a dvd and then practiced his speech in front of the mirror to gain a charisma point.
Dacia grew up well in to a child and immediately called townie Nery Turner for a chat. Dirk served up some delicious spaghetti for the headmaster's dinner and gained a cooking point in the process. Dacia clogged the toilet (guess her lack of potty training as a toddler came back to bite her parents) and called the repairman to come out the following morning. Dirk was rejected for admission to private school.
On Thursday morning Florence settled down on the couch to watch a dvd and then headed outside to use the bubble blower. It was Darren's day off. Dirk spent a lot of time with the dartboard, imagining a picture of the private school headmaster as the target, no doubt. Dacia and Florence spent a couple of hours playing catch on the front lawn before it was time for work/school. Dirk's family heard about his good grades in school and sent him $100 to show how proud they were. Darren was offered a subscription to the film and literature magazine, which he accepted. Dirk did his homework as soon as he arrived home from school, as did Dacia. Darren headed to the mirror to practice his speech again and gained three charisma points. Florence went straight to bed after work exhausted. Dirk called Sim State University to see if he qualified for any scholarships and was awarded the SimCity Scholar's Grant. He then immediately left for campus to begin his time in college. The ghost of Darren's first wife, Darleen, was active all that night. She woke Florence from her slumber, and Florence was no longer tired, so she decided to pull an all-nighter. A random townie walkby managed to break the kitchen sink - Florence called the repairman to come back the next day to fix it.
Florence spent the early hours of Friday morning watching a dvd. Darren stayed up late to gain another charisma point before bed. Florence was scared by the ghost of Darleen twice, poor thing. She set to work mopping the badly flooded kitchen floor and gained a much needed cleaning point. Darren headed off to work and Dacia practiced chess and gained a logic point before school. With the house blessedly empty, Florence settled down to relax in a long hot bubble bath. Afterwards, she went to bed to sleep away her day off. When Dacia got home from school, she called Mama Caliente for a long chat in the hopes of getting to know her better.
