Today I headed to Strangetown to play what's left of the original Smith family. Jenny is an elderly retired widow now. She's recently found love again with a much younger man, Kenneth Hiatt (a townie). She seems content just to date him for now. Jill grew in to a teenage pleasure sim. She attends a prestigious private school and works part time in the oceanography career as a Dolphin Tank Cleaner. She's a little on the unstable side, as she has no friends, not even her mother. The family has two dogs, Cody and April, who are expecting puppies.
Tuesday morning started with the gypsy matchmaker leaving a genie lamp on the Smith's doorstep. Neither Jenny nor Jill noticed or cared. Jenny drove her hot little sportscar over to Cold Issue to get a new everyday outfit. Jenny's a terrible shopaholic when it comes to clothing. When she got home, she called her boyfriend Kenneth Hiatt to ask him out on their very first date. She met him at Londoste and they spent the entire date slow dancing to classical music. It was okay. When Jenny got home, she bought an easel and practiced her painting skills, gaining a creativity point. A random townie walkby she'd invited in decided it would be a great time to clog the toilet. Jenny called the repairman to come out right away. She then headed to the computer to play Sims 3, but the computer blew up on her. Luckily the repairman was still there fixing the toilet. After school, Jill headed off to work. Jenny threw a house party and then made a beeline straight to the computer as soon as the repairman had fixed it. She played Sims 3 for quite a while, then played a friendly game of catch with La Shawn Barthelet, one of her party guests. Then she ditched her own party to go downtown and buy some new outerwear. I'd like to say she was just concerned about the temperature dropping, but she really is a shopaholic. When Jill got home from work, she sat down to enjoy some MTV, but the television blew up on her. Jenny was a terrible hypocrite about the matter, and chewed Jill out for breaking it (conveniently forgetting that she'd done the same thing to the computer only hours before) before calling the repairman to come out the following morning. Jenny's party was a snoozer - the guests weren't too impressed with her screaming at her daughter so publicly for what could have happened to anybody. Jenny washed April afterwards - she was filthy. Jill was too depressed to tackle her homework and was plagued by nightmares all night long.
On Wednesday morning Jenny washed Cody before sitting down to another session of Sims 3. She was offered a subscription to the gaming magazine and happily accepted. When Jill had headed off to school, Jenny threw another house party. Jill went to work pretty much directly after school again. Jenny's party was a success. Jenny settled down on the couch with a book on fire safety and learned all she could about the subject. Afterwards, she felt she still wasn't partied out and headed to the phone to invite some people for a sports party. She spent most of it playing some more Sims 3. She was very sleepy and went to bed early. The party was a total snoozer. Jill managed to get through Wednesday's homework but was too depressed and tired to finish Tuesday's.
Thursday started with Jenny washing Cody yet again. He's an extremely filthy dog. At 7:03am April gave birth to a single male puppy which the family named Arden. Jenny called the pet adoption service to send him to a good home then played still more sims 3. She's addicted - I'm not. After her simming session, Jenny ducked downtown to buy some new PJs, then washed April. She threw yet another house party. Jill bought herself a bubble blower after school (to use with all her invisible friends?) and Jenny spent a lot of her party playing Sims 3. Jill got a visit from the social bunny, who doesn't like her any more than anybody else does.

Once Jenny was finally over playing it, she headed outside to try out Jill's new bubble blower. She also purchased a hot tub and spent the next few hours soaking away her arthritis pain. Poor Jill went to work again. Jenny's party was a success. When Jill got home, she spent a long time talking to the closest thing she has to a friend - Sir Bricks-a-lot!

Tragic, isn't she? Jenny actually remembered she was a mother for once and took pity on Jill. She danced with her for a couple of hours before they both headed to bed - Jill still not stable enough to tackle her growing pile of homework assignments.
