Wardrobe Wrangler & Simsylvania.com Files

It recently came to my attention that djssims.com's domain has expired and that therefore the Wardrobe Wrangler was unavailable.  I still had the .zip file with the installer of the latest version on my computer, so I thought I would upload it and post a link here so that people can still obtain this awesome program.  If I couldn't do one-click townifying of content I'd be lost!

Download The Wardrobe Wrangler

Credits: I didn't make this.  Don't credit me.  I just wanted this to remain available to simmers and took the initiative to upload it to help everybody out.

And I uploaded these a long time ago due to a request at Garden of Shadows, but I never posted them here so while I'm doing links to other people's stuff, I have most of the files from long-dead site Simsylvania.com.  None of them require meshes, as that site was so early in Sims 2 CC that there were no meshes yet and everything is base game compatible.  It never updated again after about a month following Sims 2 release.  They were originally a Sims 1 site and I guess Sims 2 didn't really do it for them.  I uploaded these when I was still on dialup, so they're in categories because I could never have uploaded them otherwise.  Most of them aren't really up to today's standards, though their pale skintone is quite nice if you play a maxis match game.

Credits: Do not credit me for these.  All credits go to the creators of Simsylvania.com.  I just found these files and found them on an old backup disk.  Truthfully, most of them aren't even in my game anymore.  Except the toddler and childrens outfits and a few of the teen female things.  Some of those are win.

What exactly does the Wardrobe Wrangler do?

Thank you for all these links!

It does a lot of things. First of all, one of the simplest things it does is let you "townify" custom content with one click, instead of having to change code in SimPE. Townifying means that townies will spawn and your sim will age up in those clothes/hair sometimes instead of just maxis clothes and hair. You can also townify eyes. You can assign a genetic rating to eyes, dominant/recessive, as well as to skintones (but townifying skintones does not work with wardrobe wrangler - you need to do that in SimPE unfortunately)... you can recategorize jewellery to the proper jewellery bins (i think that's for bon voyage), you can bin hair that is incorrectly showing up in the custom bin, you can do SO many things! I'd be lost without it :)

Not to be argumentive, but, in the version of wardrobe wrangler I have, it does allow me to townify skintones.

didn't realize it did all those other things though. interesting.

heh not to be argumentative right back at you, but this is the deal... yes, it APPEARS to allow townifying of skintones, but if you townify a skintone with the wardrobe wrangler it isn't actually townified and hasn't worked properly... you can press randomize sim in create a family a million times and the skintone will never ever come up... true story... i almost went crazy before i worked out that it didn't work and you have to use simPE to townify a skintone...

Ok, then I must have misunderstood 'townify'. I understood it to mean that random townie sims could show up with that skin tone. I've seen several townie sims come with the custom skintones, as well as custom hair, eyes, and clothes. Now I wonder if it is due to some glitch...and maybe it means my game is corrupted. My game does a lot of things it shouldn't do.

Townify does mean that :) sometimes when you download things people have already townified them (which I personally love, because it saves me the trouble of doing it myself immediately when I download) and I'd say about 60% of people townify their skintones in simPE, but usually offer a custom version as well for if you don't want townies using that skintone... so I doubt that it means your game is corrupted :) some people don't say if their stuff is (i've been guilty of it several times, in fact)... but like i said, and to clarify, townify button works perfectly in Wardrobe Wrangler for eyes, hair and clothes :) it's only skintones that need to be done in simPE
